Display Tray

I made three of these display trays for all of my kids' grandparents for Christmas presents this year.  It took me about three hours total to make all of them, and I love how quickly they went together.  It would be very easy to make them more or less embellished according to your preferences.  All items used are Close To My Heart, although some are retired- I pulled quite a bit out of my stash for the embellishments.  I could definitely see myself making more of these- I think they would be really cute for the holidays, and it would be really easy to change out the papers to make them fit any occasion.

Overall size of the Display Tray is 13 X 13 1/4 X 1 and it has two hangers on the top.  Each of the openings is 4 inches tall by 3 inches wide.

Here is a complete list of the items used:

Display Tray (Z1750), Clementine Paper Pack (X7156B), Clementine Canvas Shapes (X7156C), Glitz Glitter Gel in Stardust and Bronze (Z1313 and Z1483), Paradise Paper Flowers (Z1710), Pewter Brads (Z1366), Basic Button Assortment (Z1391).  The journalling spots are from the retired That's Amore paper pack.  The white flowers and paper butterfly are also retired items.

Let me know what you think and any other ways you would use this!

Advent Calendar

Close To My Heart came out with an amazing Advent Calendar that I started working on today.  I think it is so cute and can't wait to finish it and fill it up with little goodies for my kids!

One problem I ran into- I couldn't find my StazOn Black ink pad anywhere, so I tried to just use regular black ink- I do not recommend it!  The ink never quite "dried" and was smearing everwhere.  I stopped after completing these 4 boxes so I could order the StazOn ink pad and finish.  I am just going to leave these how they are for this year, and make new boxes next year if they get too smeared.  I also used glue dots as my adhesive instead of liquid glass as suggested.  I thought the glue dots would be a little neater and wouldn't have to wait for them to dry.

Here is a complete list of Close To My Heart supplies needed to complete your Advent Calendar:

StazOn Black Ink! (Z888), Workshop on the Go Advent Calendar Kit (G1044), Cricut Artiste Cartridge (Z1790), and an adhesive of your choice.  If you want to use your own paper, or make it for non-Christmas use, you can buy the cubby box by itself (Z1804).  I have thought about making one for my kids as chore completion treats.

I would love to hear what you think or hear your ideas on what else this cute cubby could be used for!

Happy Halloween!

I cannot believe that it is Halloween already!  I am so sorry I haven't posted recently- as you may or may not know, I accepted a new job in August that has moved my family all the way out to Wyoming!  We are all very excited, and getting settled in.  My new job is going very well- I am working very long hours and have a 14 days on, 7 days off schedule, which has me stretched pretty thin during my work week- but it is not that bad since I love my job!

My scrap room was unpacked about a month ago and I am still working to get it organized.  I have had some time to craft, which I am very grateful for!  I am actually starting to work on my Christmas cards and Christmas presents for our parents now, so hopefully I can get them done and mailed out sometime soon!

I hope you are having a wonderful fall- we have had 4 inches of snow already and are getting used to the cold!  I hope you have a great Halloween and get lots of pitcures of your little ones!  Mine are dressing up as a princess and Iron Man, and are looking forward to Trick or Treating tonight.   I'm looking forward to scrapping the pictures already!  I am hoping to get them done this week- and I promise to have a creative post this week as well!!

Clementine Layout

Lucky Roll!

I made this game last night- I thought it would be fun to play at Home Gatherings, Crops, or Open Houses.  I used the Dotty For You paper pack and think it turned out cute!  What do you think??

Here is a complete list of the Close To My Heart supplies I used and their item numbers:  Dotty For You Paper Pack, Smoothie Cardstock (X5763), Black marker (Z2305), Posterboard Alphabet (E1014), Token Alphabet (E1020), One cube from the MyCreations Collage Cubes (Z1737), 1 1/4" Circle Punch (Z1311), and finally the Lagoon and Black Ink Pads.  I used the black stubble texture tool (Z1298) and Lagoon ink to add some color to my lettering.

Pemberley Cards

I have to admit, when I first saw the Pemberley paper I really didn't like it.  But, since my mom's favorite colors are yellow and light blue, I ordered it anyway and this is what I have created so far.  I really like how the flowers stand out.  I really think that they make the cards!

Here is my CTMH product list:
Pemberley Paper Pack (X7148b), Pemberley MyStickease (X7148c), Bitty Opaques Pearl Adhesive Gems (Z1707), Hooray Bouquet MyAcrylix Stamp Set (D1491), Colonial White Cards and Envelopes (X1410), 3-D Foam Tape (Z1151), and Outdoor Denim, Honey and Indian Corn Blue ink pads.

Please leave a comment and let me know what you think!  :)

Victory WOTG pages

These are the pages that my club members will be making this month.  I haven't decided what photos to put on the top layout yet- I have a "Daddy and Me" layout in mind though for my son.  The bottom pages went perfectly with our trip to TN for Spring Break and my son's first time shooting.  My husband got him a BB Gun for his birthday and they had a great time learning about shooting and target practicing!  Beau is a great shot and is hoping to be able to go hunting in the fall- we'll see if he's ready to sit in a tree stand for a few hours!

Here is a list of the products I used and their item numbers (all CTMH):
Victory WOTG (G1035), Victory Stickease (Z7150C), Durables Square Studs (Z1705), and the Outdoor Denim, Barn Red and Chocolate ink pads.

Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!  :)

Teacher's Appreciation Gifts

I made these gifts for my kids' teachers for Teacher Appreciation week.  I think they are adorable and am really happy with how they turned out!  The little buckets I found in the $1 section at Target.  I used a popsicle stick for the "stem", attached the flowers and filled with potting soil.  They went together super fast- I used the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge to cut the flower shape and the stamp image that I wrote on.  The best part- they only cost about $3 apiece to make!  Please leave a comment to let me know what you think!
